As we gathered in the reception area of this year’s Bruce Denniston Society Volunteer Appreciation BBQ, we reflected on everything that has happened this year. The Society has continued to make great improvements each year and we are very happy and proud of our success. As RJR Innovations is strongly involved with the Bruce Denniston Society and all the initiatives put forward, it was only natural for us to help out with some of this year’s great milestones and accomplishments.

Earlier this year, The Bruce Denniston Society pledged to raise $250,000 towards the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) “Campaign for All Canadians” – a campaign to help raise awareness and funds towards building Canada’s National Public Cord Blood Bank. Not only did the Bruce Denniston Society raise over $18,000 at their annual golf tournament, they also presented a cheque in the amount of $100,000 donated by SunLife Financial towards our pledge to CBS.

This year the society also made great progress with their internet presence and professionalism. RJR Innovations was able to aid in this transformation with help from graphic designer Alex Winch, who re-branded the society’s logo and business collateral. Not to mention the new website the society launched with said logo and new society colours. RJR Innovations is very proud to have been involved in all of these great projects and innitiatives alongside the society.

On September 19, 2013 we were able to celebrate these milestones at the annual Volunteer Appreciations BBQ while enjoying some wine, donated by RJR Innovations alongside a lovely meal, donated by Casey’s Bar and Grill. We look forward to more in 2014 and helping others in need.
