Did they see their shadows? Did they not see their shadows? The Team at RJR Innovations has been tracking Punxsutawney Phil, Wiarton Willie, and Shubenacadie Sam to find out if we are in for six more weeks of Winter or if we will be lucky enough to have an early Spring.
Punxsutawney Phil – Phil did see his shadow in the town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Six more weeks of Winter!
Wiarton Willie – In the community of Wiarton, about 200 kilometres northwest of Toronto, Willie did not see his shadow, so an early Spring for that part of the country!
Shubenacadie Sam – Sam also did not see his shadow in Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife park, so that part of the country will also see an early Spring!
Either way, we know we can’t put the shovels away just yet. Happy Groundhog Day!
