The Conference began with an Opening Ceremony on Saturday, September 29th, where the San Diego Police Department welcomed IACP attendees. This Ceremony was followed by a Foundation Fundraising Gala where all the proceeds benefit the programs and initiatives of the Foundation. Sunday, September 30th began with a 5K Sun Run and Golf Tournament for anyone who wanted to participate. The RJR Team participated in the Competition Zone challenges at the Conference where they tested our memory, shooting, and driving skills, as well as our knowledge of Police facts.
The RJR Team – IACP Participants
Monday, October 1st ended with IACP’s Host Chiefs Night Block Party in the Gaslamp Quarter where IACP had reserved seven blocks that were filled with people, food, refreshments, and entertainment. There were thirteen restaurants in total and many little shops that were open entirely for IACP members. The restaurants offered buffet bars on the streets where guests could help themselves to their authentic cuisines.
