CACP – the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police was held in Winnipeg this year on August 18-21st. All police forces around Canada are faced with the same issues of tight budgets and the need for higher security. With today’s advancing technology, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Justifying RJR’s security product (or suite of products) isn’t hard. What would happen if the laptop out of your police cruiser was stolen? Would your data be protected? What sensitive information would be leaked to the public?

RJR’s security product, QSignOn not only locks down your system as soon as you remove the SmartCard from the card reader but it also encrypts the data so that if it were stolen, it would be fully protected. This is just one of many of the risk and cost-reducing features this product and suite of products has to offer.

We were also very excited to model our vision of the SmartCard that acts not only as your secure SmartCard, to both access and lock down your laptops but also acts as your photo ID badge and proximity badge to get you around your offices. Consolidating a few essential pieces of identification can help make your life easier.
